The Alpine FLZ is a very versatile hiking pole, resistant thanks to its aluminum composition and compressible (Z-Pole rapid deployment system).
Featuring Z-Pole technology, it offers quick deployment and very compact storage when folded.
It features the FlickLock adjustment system, locking the stick is fast, simple and reliable. Interchangeable carbide or rubber Tech Tips can be adapted to the type of terrain. The cork handle is very breathable and the PU extension improves grip and grip on slopes.
Two types of pucks are supplied depending on the season, 60 mm Trekking pucks for summer treks and larger "Powder Compactor" pucks for winter powder.

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System:

Cone deployment technology is inspired by Black Diamond's know-how in avalanche probes, it is an essential component of the robustness, stability and speed of deployment of Z-Pole poles.
Just grab the handle and the top end of the pole and then pull them each in an opposite direction. The stick snaps into place and locks.
Each Rapid Deployment Cone is used to guide and position one strand of the stick and then to secure the junction when the stick is locked.
Soft protective end caps cover the central Kevlar cable of the pole when folded.

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System has three unique elements:
• An invisible internal cord/cable
• A simple push button to fold the strand
• One-step rapid cone deployment

The FlickLock size adjustment system was designed with efficiency, compactness and ease of use in mind.
The FlickLock adjustment is top notch when it comes to fast styling and lightness.
Because the mountain requires reliable and resistant equipment, FlickLock technology offers safe, quick and simple adjustments and makes hours spent on the trail easier.

• For walking, hiking and carrying, where the criteria of stability and support are a priority: choose a pole size slightly larger than the one that suits you.
• For racing, where the uphill propulsion criterion is a priority: choose a pole size slightly smaller than the one that suits you.
