Unireverso Petzl belay device

The UNIREVERSO is a complete belay system that is very light, particularly comfortable to use and very effective on all rope diameters. This system consists of a REVERSO 4 belay device and an ATTACHE screwgate carabiner, held in the optimal position by a sliding connecting piece. The assembly is captive and reliable. This belay device is versatile and allows suitable braking.

• Captive and reliable assembly:

- limits the risk of losing the belayer during rope manipulations,
- allows the REVERSO 4 belay device to be held correctly in position and the ATTACHE carabiner to work along its major axis.

• A single device for all uses:

- effective braking on half ropes (diameter greater than or equal to 8 mm) and twinned (diameter greater than or equal to 7.5 mm) and on single ropes (diameter greater than or equal to 8.9 mm),
- belaying the leader, one or two seconds and abseiling,
- independent and simultaneous belaying of two seconds in Reverso mode,
- for reversible climbing (rope of 2), quick switch from Reverso mode to belaying the first.

• Adapted braking:

- increases the braking force on thin ropes and adapts the braking force on thicker ropes thanks to its V-shaped braking groove,
- increases the blocking pressure of the strings in Reverso mode,
- the asymmetrical lateral grooves increase the braking force when the rope enters the device (fall, top roping and abseiling) and the fluidity when the rope leaves the device (slack recovery).

• Preserves the rope and facilitates rope maneuvers and abseiling:

- does not twist the strings regardless of the mode used,
- separates the strands when belaying and rappelling on a double rope,
- hole for unlocking the device under power: allows gradual release of the device under power in Reverso mode with a simple carabiner and without effort.

• Intuitive use

- simple and quick installation of the rope,
- easily reversible system (right/left),
- reduced risk of burns when removing the rope.
