The Distance Carbon FLZ Black Diamond is an ultra-light hiking/trail pole thanks to its 100% carbon composition. This stick is intended for practitioners of long distance courses. Featuring Z-Pole technology, it offers quick deployment and very compact storage when folded.
It has the FlickLock Pro adjustment system, interchangeable and non-marking Tech Tips, as well as a light and adherent EVA foam handle (very good grip).

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System:

Cone deployment technology is inspired by Black Diamond's know-how in avalanche probes, it is an essential component of the robustness, stability and speed of deployment of Z-Pole poles.
Just grab the handle and the top end of the pole and then pull them each in an opposite direction. The stick snaps into place and locks.
Each Rapid Deployment Cone is used to guide and position one strand of the stick and then to secure the junction when the stick is locked.
Soft protective end caps cover the central Kevlar cable of the pole when folded.

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System has three unique elements:
• An invisible internal cord/cable
• A simple push button to fold the strand
• One-step rapid cone deployment
