Light, compact and reliable, these are the strengths of the Distance FLZ Black Diamond poles.
Offered in 3 sizes (95-110 cm, 105-125 cm, 120-140 cm), the Z-Pole technology allows the poles to be folded and unfolded without loss of time.
Adjust the height of the poles as you see fit thanks to the FlickLock clamshell system.

The evolutions of this new version:

• Diameter of the strands reduced to 12 mm to gain in lightness
• FlickLock adjustment system
• New, more ergonomic "Push Button Lock" button that makes folding easier
• New "Distance" wrist strap made from recycled materials
• Extra length of the wrist strap tucks into the tunnel yoke to avoid discomfort
• New technical tip with reduced volume washer to prevent snagging in scree
• 55mm snow pucks now included

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System:

The cone deployment technology is inspired by Black Diamond's know-how in avalanche probes, it is an essential component of the robustness, stability and speed of deployment of the Z-Pole poles.
Just grab the handle and the top end of the pole and then pull them each in an opposite direction. The stick snaps into place and locks.
Each Rapid Deployment Cone is used to guide and position one strand of the stick and then to secure the junction when the stick is locked.
Soft protective end caps cover the central Kevlar cable of the pole when folded.

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System has three unique elements:
• An invisible internal cord/cable
• A simple ergonomic push button to fold the strand
• One-step rapid cone deployment

• For walking, hiking and carrying, where the criteria of stability and support are a priority: choose a pole size slightly larger than the one that suits you.
• For racing, where the uphill propulsion criterion is a priority: choose a pole size slightly smaller than the one that suits you.
• You can also use the following formula: height of sticks u003d height of person x 0.67
