Les performances thermiques du sac de couchage Ascent selon la norme ISO 23537-1:2022:
The standard defines two temperatures, “Comfort” and “Lower Limit” to evaluate the thermal performance of a sleeping bag.
This standard makes it possible to compare the different models on the market and to help the practitioner in his choice.
- Comfort temperature:
This temperature corresponds to the temperature of use for which one expects to sleep relaxed.
If you are chilly or a woman, use this size to choose the model.
- Lower Limit temperature:
This is the temperature at which a standard human can sleep for eight hours in a curled up position without waking up.
If you consider yourself a high body temperature sleeper, use this value to gauge the coldest temperature the bag can be subjected to.
Specificities:
• Isolation 750+ Loft
The Loft is a size that evaluates the insulation performance/weight of a down. The higher this size, the lighter the down will be for equivalent insulation or the more insulating the down will be for an equivalent weight.
In other words, this size represents the quality of the down.
Each Sea To Summit down is certified by one of the largest laboratories in the down and feather industry, the Down Feather Laboratory (IDFL).
• Fabrication
The waterproof and breathable characteristics of premium recycled 20D nylon provide added protection and prevent exposure to condensation from tent walls for outdoor comfort.
• Traitement hydrofuge Ultra-Dry Down
The Ultra-Dry Down Sea To Summit treatment reduces the negative effects of humidity on the down.
It protects the down from external humidity and condensation inside the sleeping bag.
•Responsible Down Standard (RDS)
The RDS standard helps to move the entire down and feather industry towards breeding practices that respect animal welfare. The standard requires independent, third-party assessments of all aspects of animal husbandry and treatment throughout the supply chain.
Sea To Summit ensures that each phase of the collection process is conducted with consideration for the welfare and ethical treatment of geese.
