Technical characteristics of Astro Pro Deuter duvets:
The thermal performance of Astro Pro Deuter sleeping bags according to the EN13537 standard:
The EN13537 standard defines three temperatures, "Comfort", "Lower Limit", and "Extreme" in order to evaluate the thermal performance of a sleeping bag. This standard makes it possible to compare the different models on the market and to help the user in his choice.
- Comfort temperature:
This temperature corresponds to the temperature of use for which one expects to sleep relaxed.
If you are chilly or a woman, use this size to choose the model.
- Lower Limit temperature:
This is the temperature at which a standard human can sleep for eight hours in a curled up position without waking up.
If you consider yourself a high body temperature sleeper, use this value to gauge the coldest temperature the bag can be subjected to.
- Extreme temperature
This is the extreme survival temperature. Between the "Lower Limit" and "Extreme" temperatures, a strong feeling of cold is felt and there may be a health risk (hypothermia). For normal use, the manufacturer does not recommend using the bag under these environmental conditions.
Norme "Responsible Down Standard" (RDS):
The RDS standard helps to move the entire down and feather industry towards breeding practices that respect animal welfare. The standard requires independent, third-party assessments of all aspects of animal husbandry and treatment throughout the supply chain.
Since June 2015, Deuter has been using RDS-certified down and feathers.
