The thermal performance of the Ascent Ac sleeping bag according to EN13537:
The EN13537 standard defines three temperatures, "Comfort", "Lower Limit", and "Extreme" in order to evaluate the thermal performance of a sleeping bag. This standard makes it possible to compare the different models on the market and to help the user in his choice.
- Comfort temperature:
This temperature corresponds to the temperature of use for which one expects to sleep relaxed.
If you are chilly or a woman, use this size to choose the model.
- Lower Limit temperature:
This is the temperature at which a standard human can sleep for eight hours in a curled up position without waking up.
If you consider yourself a high body temperature sleeper, use this value to gauge the coldest temperature the bag can be subjected to.
- Extreme temperature
This is the extreme survival temperature. Between the "Lower Limit" and "Extreme" temperatures, a strong feeling of cold is felt and there may be a health risk (hypothermia). For normal use, the manufacturer does not recommend using the bag under these environmental conditions.

• Version Ascent AcIII
Technologies used:
• Free Flow Zip System
The "Free Flow Zip" zipper system offers ventilation solutions and freedom of movement.
It is made up of three zippers that guarantee optimal heat retention when necessary and multiple ventilation options when not.
The side zipper located on the half of the right side of the bag offers better ventilation, freedom of movement for the arms and allows the bag to be folded down like a mini-quilt.
The full-length 2-way zipper and foot zipper allow the bag to be transformed into a quilt.
If you're looking to be warm, all you have to do is close all the zippers and pull the drawstrings to tighten everything up.
• Zip Coupling system![]()
Sea To Summit sleeping bags feature the Zip Coupling System (YKK #5) with a 165cm zipper.
This system allows the bags to be coupled together, side by side, with each person sleeping in their own bag in order to best benefit from the insulation zones of the hood and at the level of the feet.
• 750+ loft insulation![]()
The Loft is a size that evaluates the insulation performance/weight of a down. The higher this size, the lighter the down will be for equivalent insulation or the more insulating the down will be for an equivalent weight.
In other words, this size represents the quality of the down.
Each Sea To Summit down is certified by one of the largest laboratories in the down and feather industry, the Down Feather Laboratory (IDFL)
• Traitement hydrofuge Ultra-Dry Down
The Ultra-Dry Down Sea To Summit treatment mitigates the negative effects of humidity on the down.
It protects the down from external humidity and condensation inside the sleeping bag.
• Norme "Responsible Down Standard" (RDS)
The RDS standard helps to move the entire down and feather industry towards breeding practices that respect animal welfare. The standard requires independent, third-party assessments of all aspects of animal husbandry and treatment throughout the supply chain.
Sea To Summit ensures that each phase of the collection process is conducted with consideration for the welfare and ethical treatment of geese.
