Hybrid construction:
The Sirocco Petzl helmet benefits from a hybrid construction.
The shell is made of EPP foam and the cap is made of EPS foam injected under a thin polycarbonate shell.
Shock absorption principle:
The shell protects the cap and helps stop sharp objects at the top of the helmet.
The calotin alone absorbs summit shocks through deformation.
The shell alone absorbs side, frontal and rear impacts through deformation.
