The Distance carbon Z FKT poles complete the already well-stocked Black Diamond range of Trail and Fast-Hiking poles.

This brand new model takes the proven 100% carbon fiber construction and compactness of the rapid deployment Z-Poles, and adds gauntlets with an innovative magnetic connection system for accelerated use and ultra-secure attachment.
The gauntlets are easily detached with the push of a button.

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System:

The cone deployment technology is inspired by Black Diamond's know-how in avalanche probes, it is an essential component of the robustness, stability and speed of deployment of the Z-Pole poles.
Just grab the handle and the top end of the pole and then pull them each in an opposite direction. The stick snaps into place and locks.
Each Rapid Deployment Cone is used to guide and position one strand of the stick and then to secure the junction when the stick is locked.
Soft protective end caps cover the central Kevlar cable of the pole when folded.

The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System has three unique elements:
• An invisible internal cord/cable
• A simple ergonomic push button to fold the strand
• One-step rapid cone deployment

Help with choosing the size of the Z-Pole sticks:

• For walking, hiking and carrying, where the criteria of stability and support are a priority: choose a pole size slightly larger than the one that suits you.
• For racing, where the uphill propulsion criterion is a priority: choose a pole size slightly smaller than the one that suits you.
• You can also use the following formula: height of sticks u003d height of person x 0.67
