This multi-use belay device is ultralight (59 g, 25% less than the REVERSO 3) and intuitive to use. The "V" braking grooves, equipped with asymmetrical lateral grooves, modulate the braking on the rope for better control (ARC technology: braking control adapted to dynamic double, twin and single ropes). Reverso mode to ensure one or two seconds with assisted braking.
• Ultralight design:
- minimalist design,
- hot forged aluminum,
- Weight: 59g.
• A single device for all rope uses:
- effective braking on double and twin ropes ≥ 7.5 mm,
- effective braking on single ropes ≥ 8.9 mm,
- belaying the leader, one or two seconds and abseiling,
- independent and simultaneous belaying of two seconds in Reverso mode,
- for reversible climbing (rope of 2), quick switch from Reverso mode to belaying the first.
• "V" brake grooves:
- increases the braking force on thin ropes,
- adapts the braking force on thicker ropes,
- increases the blocking pressure of the strings in Reverso mode.
• Asymmetrical lateral splines:
- increase the braking force when the rope enters the device (fall, top-rope and abseil),
- increase the fluidity when the rope comes out of the device (take up slack).
• Unlocking hole of the live device:
- allows gradual release of the device under power in Reverso mode with a simple carabiner and without effort.
• Preserves the rope and facilitates rope maneuvers and abseiling:
- does not twist the strings regardless of the mode used,
- separates the strands when belaying and rappelling on a double rope.
• Intuitive use:
- easily identifiable aluminum fixing ring for Reverso mode,
- cable to limit movement in belay mode and the risk of loss of the device,
- diagrams for insurer and Reverso modes engraved on the device.
• Use with a symmetrically shaped locking carabiner (Am'D or WILLIAM) for greater efficiency.
