Vario Ortlieb is a hybrid waterproof bicycle bag.
Easily convert from a bike bag to a backpack by flipping the flap.
On one side is the proven Ortlieb Quick-Lock attachment system for attaching the bag to the luggage rack, on the other the ergonomic carrying system with shoulder straps.
With a large opening and a specific compartment for the laptop, the Vario bag is very practical on a daily basis: for going to work, to university, on foot or by bike.

The QL2.1 system is universal and suitable for most racks on the market with tube diameters up to 16 mm. For tubes of smaller diameters, reducer inserts allow the hooks to be shortened (8, 10 and 12 mm).
For tube diameters of 18mm and 20mm, commonly found on e-bike racks, Ortlieb offers adapter hooks available at retail.
The system consists of a top rail with slide-mounted, self-locking attachment hooks.
The hooks can be adjusted laterally without tools and individually adapted to the luggage rack.
The bottom rail with its hook prevents the pannier from moving away from the support to which the hook is attached. You can move the hook and rotate it 360 degrees to find the right position. The rotary hook is adjustable in steps of 15°.
All the hooks are anti-scratch.
To attach the bag, pull the handle to open the hooks, take the bag and engage the bottom hook then the top ones and let them close.
The Quick-Lock 3.1 fastening system:
The QL3.1 system has been specially developed by Ortlieb with the aim of simplifying everyday bicycle bags. In this system, the saddlebag fasteners are mounted to the rack of the bike, not the saddlebag. The bag is thus free of protruding hooks and its shoulder carrying comfort is improved.
The pannier is quickly mounted on the luggage rack using a sideways swivel movement.
The fixing device is designed for standard luggage racks on the market with a tube diameter of 10 mm.
For larger tubes from 11 to 14 mm, adapters are provided.
Ortlieb offers the Three rack compatible directly with panniers with the Quick-Lock 3.1 system.
