Adhesive Type: Standard Hotmelt Glue
The traditional Colltex glue layer is applied to the skin in order to obtain an irreproachable hold on the ski.
This type of adhesive is now the most used by ski tourers, the glue can be changed by re-gluing the skin.
Design:
The Colltex Drybase diaper
Colltex now adds an extra layer to their skins called Colltex Drybase before applying the hotmelt adhesive layer.
The Colltex Drybase diaper has many advantages:
- it reduces the level of water absorption. The Colltex Drybase layer fills the hollow spaces of the woven layer so that it can barely absorb any more water.
- due to its composition, it creates a perfect chemical bond with the hotmelt layer which therefore adheres perfectly to the woven back of the skin.
- it increases resistance to torsion and reduces wear while maintaining the flexibility of the skin
Maintenance tips:
- it is wise to treat the skins before use, with wax or an ecological spray
- regular use of a waterproofing spray is necessary for the maintenance of the plush
The Hexagon front binding:
The Hexagon stirrup developed by Colltex has many advantages:
- it is suitable for skis up to 9 mm thick and for all shapes of spatulas
- it does not slip to the side when fixing
- he is light
- it is easy to use, functional and pleasant to handle thanks to its rounded contours
- its fine structure does not store snow
- its material is stable (spring steel/stainless steel)
The Hexagon rear binding:
The advantages of the Hexagon Colltex rear hanger:
- it is compatible with most skis on the market (ideal for skis up to 8 mm thick)
- reliability, robustness and ease of use (ideal ergonomics)
- a stretch band to facilitate grip on the back of the ski
- a hook that the other ski is not likely to blow up since the strip is very flat
- easily repositionable in both directions
- the hook detent prevents it from slipping off the band
- robust and UV-resistant material
- as soon as the band is in place, just pull on the hook to put it in place or remove it
