Isolated inflatable mattress Ether Light XR Insulated Mat Sea to Summit
Sea to Summit meets the need of practitioners with the new Ether Light XR Insulated Mat, a lighter, less bulky mattress and especially with a higher R-Value thermal resistance compared to the previous model (XT).
It uses thermalcore technology which increases insulation thanks to a construction composed of a reflective film suspended between the points welds of the mattress. This film returns the radiant heat to the sleeper and minimizes air movements inside the mattress, maximizing performance.
This mattress provides stability and comfort regardless of your sleep position.
The high -flow air xpress valve makes the inflation and the deflation fast and simple.

Core thermal construction increases the insulation of the mattress while minimizing its weight and size.

• Construction "Air Sprung Cells"
This construction makes it possible to obtain a very comfortable and light mattress.
The mesh dividers and voluminous air pockets that make up the mattress allow the two sides of the mattress to spread more apart while using less fabric. 
• TPU fabric
TPU lamination comes from manufacturing processes used in the medical and aeronautical industries. The material is durable and has an antimicrobial treatment to prevent the growth of mold and fungus.
• Multifunction valve xpress valve
The Sea To Summit valve makes it easy to inflate and deflate the mattress. A non-return valve makes it easy to inflate the mattress, without loss of pressure. The flap, with a simple press, offers the possibility of precisely adjusting the hardness of the mattress (deflation step by step).
By removing the cap, deflation is very fast.

Measurement of the R-Value thermal resistance of Sea To Summit mattresses:
The R-Value is used to measure the thermal efficiency of a mattress.
It corresponds to its ability to retain body heat in order to prevent it from spreading to the ground. Until now, manufacturers of sleeping equipment defined their own test methods to evaluate this resistance. The results were therefore difficult to interpret.
The new ASTM F3340-18 standard provides a methodology for measuring the thermal resistance of a mattress. Thus, it is now possible to compare the thermal performance of different models.
ASTM is an independent, international standards body.
