Performance measurement of Black Diamond headlamps:
Since 2009, the performance of Black Diamond lamps has been measured according to the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) protocol and according to the FL-1 standard used in the outdoor sector:
- autonomy at different lighting powers: measured operating time from switching on the lamp until the lighting power reaches 10% of the original intensity.
- autonomy in "reserve" mode: operation with lighting at 10% of the original light intensity up to a threshold of 0.25 lux at a distance of 4 metres. This is the light that can be used during activities requiring low intensity.
