Membrane Ultrafiltre LifeStraw:
The difference between microfilters and ultrafilters is the pore size.
LifeStraw microfilters have a pore size of 0.2 micron, while ultrafilters are ten times smaller at 0.02 micron.
Ultrafilters, thanks to their smaller pores, also eliminate viruses (in addition to bacteria, parasites, microplastics and dirt).
Due to their smaller pores, ultrafilters often have a lower flow rate and require greater pressure compared to microfilters.
LifeStraw Ultrafilter Membrane is capable of removing 99.999% (log 5) of viruses, 99.999999% (log 8) of bacteria, 99.999% (log 5) of parasites and 99.999% (log 5) of microplastics.
