The sticks provide support and security to the runner during trying trails on the ground and serve as propulsion.
The runner distributes his effort from his legs over his whole body, which relieves the legs and reduce fatigue.
Technologies:
• Construction en carbone
Carbon fibers are the result of the carbonization of synthetic polymer fibers or organic substances.
The result is a composite of fibers significantly finer than a human hair.
Carbon fiber tubes feature extremely high stiffness and bending strength at very low weight.
Carbon fibers are woven and bonded with resin components.
Leki's carbon tubes are manufactured using pre-impregnation technology. This technology consists of cutting impregnated fabrics before superimposing them in layers
specially structured. After curing in the oven, during which the resin components react with each other and the carbon fibers bond to form a strong matrix,
the cores are removed.
The layered structure of the different carbon fabrics is decisive for the rigidity of the carbon tube.
The quality of the raw material is also decisive for the quality of the tube.
Leki works with different types of carbon. HM Carbon features maximum carbon fiber content, while fiberglass content is used for entry-level poles.
These tubes containing fiberglass are so-called carbon composite tubes.
There are different constructions which differ in the proportion of glass fibers.
HRC (HIGHEST RACING CARBON)
- Weight per meter: from 55 g/m
- Used in high-end pole models
PRC (PERFORMANCE RACING CARBON)
- Weight per meter: from 70 g/m
- Different versions are available
CC (CARBON COMPOSITE)
- Weight per meter: from 91 g/m
- Used in entry-level models
The benefits of carbon:
- Very light material
- Maximum rigidity for minimum weight
- Greater rigidity than aluminum for a tube of the same diameter
- Optimal pendulum movement during dynamic movements
- Numerous construction possibilities with different fiber and laminated structure technologies
• Système pliable FX.ONE
- Optimal length to minimize weight
- Direct attachment to prevent the trail runner from wasting time
- Compact dimensions
- Ultra-fast stick deployment
• Système de verrouillage PB (Push Button)
- Quick and easy assembly and disassembly of the stick
- Proven system for outdoor equipment
• Système de poignée de nouvelle génération Trail Shark
The Trail Shark Leki is the first loop handle system developed specifically for trail running.
Thanks to the new ventilation channels, the weight of the handle has been reduced by 30% compared to the regular Shark system.
Uphill or downhill, the Trail Shark system is the most efficient way to handle your poles. It extends the body and provides highly efficient power transmission from hand to stick.
Thanks to the slim shape of the shark pin, the strap can be clicked on with your eyes closed.
The unlock button is easier to use than ever!
An additional lug on the handle provides a second grip and ensures precise control.
- Developed specifically for trail running
- Simplified operation for quick and easy clicking/unclicking during competition
- Very light handle: thanks to the ventilation channels, 30% gain compared to the previous Shark system
- Optimized handling
- No need to actively hold the handle all the time
- Maximum comfort, maximum power transfer
• Rallonge de poignée Thermo
These trail-running sticks are equipped with a handle extension that absorbs perspiration.
It offers more possibility to position your hands, promoting gripping and facilitating thrust in steep slopes.
- Very good handling
-The handle extension allows a quick socket
-Eva foam with open pores and absorbing perspiration
-Very pleasant in case of cold
• Gantelet Trigger Shark Frame Strap Mesh
- Trigger Shark breathable mesh wrist strap
- Optimized fit: surrounds the hand securely and firmly
- Larger contact surface
• Pointe Trail Running Tip
- Light non-oriented tip
- Concave tungsten carbide tip provides good grip in all directions
- Optimized cornering behavior
• FX Technology
Patented FX technology enables efficient maintenance and repair.
It allows you to change the two lower segments in a few minutes, quickly and easily.
This allows you to easily extend the life of your Leki poles.
