The Petzl Grigri 3 is a belay device with assisted braking compatible with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm in diameter.
Used to facilitate belaying maneuvers indoors and on the cliff, the reduction of the handle allows exceptional control of the descent.

• Belay device with assisted braking
- Belaying comfort thanks to assisted braking: when the climber falls, the device pivots on the carabiner, the rope is taut and the cam pinches the rope to brake it. By holding the rope on the brake side, the hand engages the cam, hence the importance of always holding the rope on the brake side.
- Gestures based on accompanying the rope in the device and keeping one hand permanently on the rope on the braking side.
